Evan and Marc had a quintessential New York City wedding, complete with black and white cookies, a classic cab, and an announcement in the New York Times. And what could be more New York City than a stunning event at The Foundry full of humor and heart for two nice Jewish boys? I can’t think of a thing.

Evan and Marc, it was a thrill and an honor to follow you around and photograph the joys and the splendor of your wedding day. The two of you have the exuberance and freshness of a middle school couple about to have their first kiss, and you have the rapport and comfort of an old married couple. I am so thrilled for the two of you, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek from your wedding day. Mazel tov!!

Wychmere Beach Club Wedding - Cape Cod - Alison and Peter

Within days of meeting Alison 17 years ago, I knew we’d be friends for life. Generous with her warmth and her baking, quick to laugh or provide a punchline of her own, effortlessly kind and compassionate, not to mention incredibly talented on the stage and in the kitchen, she is like the sparkly Superwoman of friendship and goodness. All who meet her are drawn to her, and I consider myself lucky that I get to have her in my life.

When Peter a.k.a. The Professor came along, there was always a giddy lightness in Alison when she spoke of him and when she was with him. Peter is kind, smart, grounded, and he came with an adorable pup named Hobbes. As was mentioned at the wedding over and over, Peter makes Alison more Alison. He makes her bright light shine even brighter. He is funny, sensitive, caring, and I actually think they both got a great deal in this equation.

Alison and Peter, I’m honored to be in your lives, and I am thrilled that I got to spend your entire wedding day with you. Most of all, I’m just so incredibly happy that you found each other and bring each other such clear and obvious joy. Not only do you fit and make sense together, you have that special extra sauce that makes you an inspirational couple. You are a team, and I’m so glad that team is now official.

I’m so excited about your wedding photos, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek from your magical wedding day! All my love to you both.

NYC City Hall Wedding - New York Elopement - Christine and Steve

How did Christine and Steve pick their wedding date? They waited for an inspired moment.

These two got engaged 7 years ago and knew that they would tie the knot when something spoke to them. They planned a trip to visit New York from their home in the UK, and only after buying the plane tickets did they decide that they’d love to elope at City Hall. They didn’t tell a soul (until afterwards of course), and I was their legal witness.

Christine and Steve, you are the reason that I love my job so much. To be invited into such an intimate experience is truly an honor, and I don’t take it lightly that you trusted me not only to photograph your wedding but to insert my person into your experience. The love between you two is so evident, and I’m thrilled to present you with this sneak peek from your New York City elopement. Enjoy!

Amanda and Derek are rock stars. Actually.

While this may be the literal truth, these two are also rock stars in the figurative sense. They have an uncapped passion for life, they are edgy without being unapproachable, and they strike the perfect balance between being awesomely cool and so completely warm.

Amanda and Derek, I can’t thank you enough for welcoming me into your world on your wedding day. I loved that you two were so present, so busy having fun, and so passionately in the moment. It was refreshing how much freedom you gave me and how much you trusted me with your memories. Your ability to let go and have a blast is matched only by the grounded and deeply rooted love and respect you clearly have for each other. You’re inspiring!

Your wedding was a blast, and I’m excited to send along this sneak peek of photos. Enjoy!

Emily and Dylan, I am at a loss for words…. but I’ll try.

Every experience I’ve had with you two has been easy and a pleasure. You’ve been welcoming, trusting, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. Your wedding day flowed with ease and joy because you two let it happen, stayed present, enjoyed every moment for what it was. You made your wedding day exceptional.

When I think of you two as a couple, I can’t imagine you not being together. I know that when you met, you both instantly knew that something special was beginning, and I can absolutely see why. You light each other up, and it seems almost as if you have no other choice but to actively love each other.

As magical as your wedding day was, I know that your love will only grow deeper. I’m so happy to have been on this journey with you and your wonderfully warm friends and families, and I’m so excited to share this sneak peek from your wedding gallery. Enjoy!
