Alysha and Andrew decided to elope at the very spot where they met five years ago: on a small little island off of Key West that one can only access by boat.

Alysha and Andrew, I feel so honored that I got to be the fifth wheel while you two became husband and wife. The evening was simple and moving, and I thank you for trusting me not only with the photos, but also for trusting me to not mess with the vibe. I’m so happy for the two of you and your very lucky little baby bump.

When my husband and I first started coming to Key West with regularity, we kept hearing about Marshall and Loretta. We heard about how kind they are, how warm and welcoming they are. We heard about their beautiful backyard garden and how hospitable they are. We heard about how fun and supportive they are and how we *must* meet them.

Marshall and Loretta, in reality, surpassed the almost folkloric reputation that preceded them. They have been like a shining light of friendship and support in sunny Key West. And their backyard is, indeed, beautiful.

Loretta and Marshall, I know you’ve enjoyed your winter home here in Key West, and I hope to have captured even a slice of the warmth and love that you’ve been so generous to share with others. You two are such a beautiful team, and I feel lucky to call you my friends. Happy 34th Anniversary!!

Tattoos and marriage: two things that are forever. And two things that Jamie and Garrett share from one specific spot on our favorite island in the world.

A few weeks before their wedding, Jamie and Garrett got tattoos of the coordinates of the exact spot where they would say their wedding vows. These two don’t do things halfway. They approach things fully and with a huge sense of fun.

Jamie and Garrett, the experience of shooting your wedding in Key West has truly been a dream come true. Your excitement for the day has been infectious, and your sense of fun and joy at the wedding was palpable. More than all of that, the commitment you two have to each other is inspiring. Jamie, your exciting energy can put a smile on anyone’s face. Garrett, just being around you makes others feel calm and at peace. It’s so amazing to see how you bring out certain qualities in each other; your connection is seamless and makes everyone around you better.

I am so happy for the two of you and so honored that I was able to be part of this journey. Thank you for being my first Key West wedding couple! I love that we have a mutual obsession with this magical place, and your wedding will always be a landmark for me. Congratulations on your marriage, and enjoy this sneak peek of photos!

Key West Engagement Photography Session

When an Instagram post leads to magic…

Jamie and Garrett and I had already planned on doing their engagement session in New York, where we all live.  We had a time, a place, and a plan.  However, I posted a picture of myself on a plane excitedly getting ready to go to my home away from home: Key West.  Shortly after, I got a message from Jamie saying that they were going there as well!

It’s a coincidence, but also not a total surprise.  Jamie and Garrett had reached out to me about shooting their Key West wedding because they knew that we shared an obsession with that magical island.  I was already so looking forward to shooting their wedding there… this engagement session was the whipped cream on top of the key lime pie!

Jamie and Garrett, it’s no surprise that I've fallen for you how I fell for our favorite place.  You two embody what I love about the island: the fun, the passion, the love for life.  I am so excited to shoot your wedding on the beach in our favorite town.  For now, enjoy this sneak peek from your engagement session!
